mrs. turnerLiz Turner, aka "Mama T", is in her 29th year of teaching young singers, 22nd year of teaching choir, and her seventh year at Faubion. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University and her Master of Education from the University of North Texas. She is a current member of Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Choral Directors Association and serves Region 24 as the MS/JHS Chair. A member of her church’s Praise Team, she enjoys singing in the choir where her husband of 22 years serves as the orchestra director. In her free time, you can find her reading the latest novel or swimming with her “boys”; husband Jeff, Director of Fine Arts Allen ISD; Danny, violinist and string repair expert at Dallas Strings; and Jack 10th grade cellist.

Jim Wilson has been an active member of the Dallas-Fort Worth music community for the last thirty years. He currently serves as the pianist at Christ United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas, and is the full-time accompanist for the Children's Chorus of Collin County and the choral programs at Faubion MS, Plano Senior HS, Frisco Centennial HS and several other schools. Jim has served as the pianist for nationally-recognized events and groups, including the 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022 Texas All-State Choirs, the Dallas Chamber Choir, and the 2016-2019 Missouri State University Choral Institutes. He plays keyboards for the band Boomtown, performs with several local jazz and cover bands, and works nationally as a pianist with vocalists and instrumentalists.
Jim is a dedicated volunteer and child advocate with Compassion International, and actively works to support and advocate for our Latin American neighbors in need, both here and abroad. Jim received a BS degree from Texas Christian University and an MS degree from the University of Arizona and is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association.
